Good quality, clear instructions

I ordered the 4 string bass kit. The website was easy to navigate and the checkout process was smooth. Shipping took about 6 days to get to my place in Ohio, which was reasonable. All the parts were well-packaged, and the wood for the body and neck looked pretty decent for the price point. The instructions were clear enough for a first-timer like me to follow, though I did watch a few YouTube videos for extra tips. I had a quick question about wiring, and their customer support got back to me within a day, which was helpful. Overall, a solid experience and a good kit for the money.

Awesome T style guitar kit!

Got the T style guitar kit and it's fantastic! Everything was there, and the wood felt really good. Can't wait to finish building it. I'm already planning my next order, probably a pedal kit. Definitely recommending this place!

Consistent quality, reliable store

This is my third kit from Vibeworks Guitars. This time I picked up the LP style guitar kit, and like my previous purchases (a fuzz pedal kit and an ST style kit), the quality was consistent. The parts were all there, no missing screws or anything. The neck fit snugly into the body pocket, which isn't always the case with other kits I've tried from different stores. Shipping is always pretty standard, usually takes about a week to arrive. I keep coming back because I know what to expect: good components and no headaches. It's my go-to for DIY guitar stuff now.

How do these kits compare to something like Solo Music Gear or StewMac? Is the quality comparable or more budget-friendly?

P Phil V. 1 month ago
I'd say Vibeworks is more on par with Solo Music Gear for quality, maybe a step below StewMac but also way cheaper. Good value for what you get.

Definitely more budget-friendly than StewMac. The quality is solid for the price, especially if you're willing to put in some extra finish work yourself. StewMac is top-tier but you pay for it.

Does anyone know if Vibeworks Guitars is legit? I'm seeing some really good prices on their kits and just want to make sure before I drop some cash.

S Shane Torres 1 month ago
Totally legit. I've ordered a few pedal kits from them and everything arrived as described. No issues.

Yeah, they're for real. Been around for a bit, seen lots of people on forums vouch for them. Good place for DIY stuff.

Hey, thinking about grabbing one of their guitar kits, maybe an LP style. Are the necks usually pre-fretted or do you have to do all that yourself?

P Phil 2 months ago
Yeah, they're pre-fretted. Makes assembly way easier, especially for a beginner.

Can confirm, got a T-style kit a few months back and the neck was already fretted and radiused. Just needed a light sanding and finishing.

Anyone got experience with their return policy? What if a part is missing or something is damaged in the kit?

R Rosa 2 months ago
I had a minor issue with a bridge piece not quite fitting right, and they were super chill about exchanging it. Didn't even have to pay return shipping for the faulty part.

Returns were pretty straightforward for me when I got the wrong color pickguard. Just email them, they'll sort you out.

How long does shipping usually take to, say, California? Thinking of getting a bass kit for a project and need it by a certain date.

D David Osei 1 month ago
For California, I'd say probably 5-7 business days, maybe a bit less if you're lucky. Mine to Oregon was about that.

Mine took about a week to get to me in LA. Depends on the kit too, I think, and if it's in stock.
